Mike Piette

Principal

Mike has been in the real estate development and financing business for 19 years and established SensusOne with a foundation around the healthcare industry to supplement his real estate experience in healthcare strategy, real estate development strategy, finance, and leadership. Mike has developed approximately 1.85 million square feet of real estate at a total project cost of approximately $275 million.

Before his time in the real estate industry, Mike was tapped to assume the leadership role as President in turning around a $200 million bankrupt deal distribution business for Steelcase, a Michigan based global manufacturer of commercial office furniture. He spent five (5) years leading the company back to renewed profitability.

Mike has an undergraduate degree with a double major in Finance and Economics and a Masters in Business Administration.

Partner

Ty worked in the banking industry for five years prior to entering the commercial real estate business. He was a principal in his Louisiana-based commercial real estate firm for ten years before merging with a regional real estate company. Ty has a broad and standing local knowledge of the area’s business environment, leaders, and real real estate market.

Jake Piette

Senior Finance Manager

Joining in early 2018 as our Finance Manager, Jake leads our commitment to create a great experience for our financial and service partners. His work ranges from managing/analyzing project proformas, loan requests and financial statements to providing company financial projections, forecasting, and cash planning.
 
He achieved a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University and is also looking to pursue an MBA.

Katie Johnson

Business Coordinator

Katie, our Business Coordinator, provides support to the administrative functions for SensusOne as well as project assistance. Prior to SensusOne, Katie utilized her team management and multitasking skills to operate a local restaurant as the General Manager. 

While working on finishing her bachelor’s degree in General Management from Oakland University, she completed her internship with SensusOne. After achieving her degree, she joined the team full time. Since then, Katie has continued to grow within the company where she applies her skills in office management and organization, Microsoft proficiency, and project coordination to help support the team at SensusOne.

Darlene Piette

Project Coordinator

Creating a unique spatial experience for tenants and patients is achieved through smart interior design, and Darlene fills that role for our team as a Project Coordinator.  She has a background in residential construction, having built several residential custom homes.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Michigan State University and holds a Michigan Builders License and a Real Estate Salespersons license.

Darlene engages with tenant prospects and works with our tenants to plan and coordinate the tenant leasing experience and coordinate much of the predevelopment due diligence and daily coordination of architectural, engineering, and construction activities as it pertains to all of the various entitlement requirements.
