SensusOne is bringing cutting edge technology and process efficiencies to medical supply distribution and surgical instrument sterilization processes that will be housed in a single 106,000 sf. consolidated service center facility located at 7771 Palmetto Commerce Parkway, North Charleston, S.C. The facility is currently under construction and will be completed in the summer of 2019 and begin operation October 1, 2019.

Mr. Denham is implementing the organization’s vision of bringing consolidation to the purchase and distribution of medical and pharmaceutical supplies, consolidation of numerous surgical sterilization facilities, and implementing a robust case cart system into one off-site location. “We are working with some of the most knowledgeable individuals in the industry to create an infrastructure that will provide the most efficient and cost-effective facility of this kind in the country,” states Mike Piette, Principal of SensusOne. “This strategic collaboration has studied centralized sterilization in Europe and the U.S. to perfect the operating processes and equipment”. SensusOne and Belimed are providing a turn-key facility, which includes acquisition, installation and commissioning of the sterilization equipment and infrastructure, fully functioning distribution center and office, that is cost efficient and easily replicated.
Off-Site Sterilization Processing Departments (SPD’s) is a term that will start to be heard in the medical industry on a more consistent basis. This facility will help reduce approximately 14mm in annual operational costs and dramatically improve the quality of instrument sterilization to eradicate any threat of surgical site infections for the MUSC hospital system.
